Come February 1st, I'll be out scouring the local stores looking for Dragon's Lair -- my Silhouette Nocturne release. Sounds silly considering it's my 9th published novel, but actually seeing my historicals on the shelves has been hit or miss.
Mostly miss. I think I've actually eyeballed 2 of the 8. Not big medieval romance readers here in NW Ohio. Thankfully, there are other citites, states and countries that like an alpha hero in chainmail.
But prelim scouting trips have succeeded in raising my hopes. Even the local grocery stores carry the Nocturnes. Be still my heart...which reminds me, I need to check the batteries in the Fuji. Because I so totally have to get pictures.
In prep for the release, and to keep from pacing the floor, I put together a video trailer of sorts for Dragon's Lair -- an animated interview of the heroine. What can I say, I like 3D animation and love playing around. It's a little wonky here or there, the mic refused to cooperate. But for a rank amateur, it's not too bad.
Check it out -- on my page or at you tube (Dragon's Lair by Denise Lynn). Warning -- it's best viewed in HQ. I mistakenly thought that would be the default...uh, guess not.
Ok, enough--it's time to do some wash, or pace a little more.
Take care,
