The other day I was studying Daniel and the Holy Spirit began to pour a list of things through my mind that I needed to pray about. When I was finished this is what my list looked like:
Joy
Be fully dependent upon Me
Time: in My word
Time: in Prayer
Time: Making Disciples
Remember:
You are the daughter of the One, True and Living God-I am your King. You are not a daughter of Babylon. You are My child.
Do not bow down to their gods. Do not be an image-maker for yourself but an image-bearer of Christ.
Renew your mind
Guard your heart
Supernatural wisdom and understanding
A heart of integrity
Love Me with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength.
Love your neighbor as yourself.
Pray for your enemies and forgive them.
Protection (heart and mind) against the schemes of the devil.
Be in debt to no man
Apart from Me you can do nothing.
When I was finished scribbling all of this down I realized it was the first time in a long time I had actually prayed before studying for God to speak to me as I studied His word.
There were other specific answers to prayer and to questions I have had. It was a flood of words and I was refreshed. I didn't realize how thirsty I was.
"Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."
