Steve Lamacq loves them and Channel 4 has cited them as 'ones to watch in 2009' it's hard to believe that the Citadels formed in 2007. 2008 is turning into an extremely busy year for these boys having just stepped off tour with Architecture In Helsinki and a new EP in the pipeline. With colossal riffs and roof defying choruses this band is not to be missed live – catch them while you can.
Little Death
One part American, one part Canadian and one part Egyptian Little Death are set to release their self titled EP in October. Having already played with the likes of Ra Ra Riot, Holy Fuck and Deadkids this pan-Atlantic trio create huge waves wherever they go. With an awesome live show and songs as finely chiselled as their good looks it's apparent we will be hearing a lot more about Little Death.

Padded Cell
The DJ booth this week is graced by Richard Sen and Neil Beatnik aka Padded Cell. They won notoriety as a Bronx Dog (Heavenly) and a Dirty Beatnik (Wall of Sound) respectively, Padded Cell came about in 2002, partly as a response to the conservatism of early millennium dance music but also to act as a conduit through which they could conduct and realize their most outlandish ideas. A must see…
