OK, you've read about it - we discovered that lost Patrick Cowley & Jorge Socarras album from the 70s (it sounds more like 2009 though). Finally, after a year of preparations, FedEx packages back and forth, weeks of time spent at D+M's restoration chamber, flights between Berlin, San Francisco and New York, hours of chatting with Morgan Geist - IT'S THERE! FOR YOU! Lovely... finally we can lean back a bit (haha).

No seriously, the fully restorated album gets its well deserved debut release - 30 years late, but as Jorge said: "Some things just take longer." That's a CD.

On the vinyl front, there's a pair of wonderful EPs accompanying the album - with the first hosting the great great "Soon" & "Robot Children (Do You Love Your)"

the i.n.c.r.e.d.i.b.l.e. KiNK remix (you know, innovation is a very dear thing to us and young talent is always just one flip of the record away at Macro's prototypes - ok ok, Villalobos... Pépé Bradock... hey what? Compared to the stuff they tweaked they are young talent!). All the Hardwax crew went crazy about this one, so now you hear it all over with Surgeon, Pete, Shed, T++ ... what a great crossover once again!

the super-classy Morgan Geist remix! Yeah Morgan - what would a Cowley remix package be without Morgan? And what a great work he did(not just our oppinion). Mr.Geist warned us it would be art - we should have told him we would be more alarmed if he threatened us he'd aim straight at the floor. Actually it's both, isn't it? And he took a great approach in imagining: how would Cowley work with today's production possibilities? Depth, folks! That's what we've been preaching. Needless to say it grooves like hell, too.

And then there's a second single! "Burn Brighter Flame" was planned as a single by Patrick and Jorge, so that's why we have a full vocal and a dub by Patrick - and Morgan cut us an edit for that to widen the spectrum even more.

On the B we set out to get hold of something more than special for you. We've been amazed by this ultra-secretive Oni Ayhun project (check: oniayhun.com). That stuff really clicks with the Macro philosophy, so we can proudly say: first Oni Ayhun remix ever! And of course it's bleeding edge stuff that instantly made an impression all accross the board.
