i was visiting my family and friends,down in my old hometown jacksonville fla.hanging out with my beginning singing group the STEROPHONICS,while sitting playing my guitar the news of james brown death flashed across the television,man what a shock.so i called mr. leon austinhe was at home in augusta ga.he said yes its true,so how fast can you get here,i,ll have everything ready for you,dont worry about nothen just get here.that was thursday night,i arrived at the burners house that friday morning.the lemo arrived  around eleven oclock to take us to the church for a private service,but as you know with all of those people,it was some what of a bomb rush,the state patrol couldent hold them back,but the service went well.the news media was everywhere,and myself,danny rae,don king,plus some of the band members the soul generals,we caught hell trying to get in ourselves but mr.bobbit finally strighten it out,and it was show time and we were in.next dayat the james brown arena,we were rushd through the back of the arena by the state patrol along with mr.patrick austinwe were rushed to our seats in front of the stage next to the brown family,directly in front of james brown casket.the burner and i was sitting together as rev.sharpton,rev.jessie jackson, michael jackson, family members etc.when rev al sharpton looked at both myselfand leon austin then he said how sharp mr. austin were,he then smiled and said now look at both of them got those big hats on,ha,ha.God bless you god father of soul.
