It is clear by now that IMPALEMENT is short a bassist. However, the show must go on.
While we await a prospect for the bass player position, IMPALEMENT is beginning work on a lot of new things.
Right now, IMPALEMENT is in the process of finding a new rehearsal space. Here are a few things that will be going on soon after that:
Over at N.E.W.(Next Era Wrestling), star and co-owner, Brian Eminon, has asked IMPALEMENT to create him a new song for his entrance music. The song titled, "Pain Don't Hurt", an ode to the late Patrick Swayze from his famous line in Road House, is a song about physical and mental strength. Undoubtedly these are two things that it takes to perform as a wrestler, as well as a musician. IMPALEMENT is hoping to record the song at Up Country Studios, which is owned and operated by members of the well known Buffalo band, Nobody Lives Forever. Kudos to Brian, Nobody Lives Forever, and N.E.W.
Also, IMPALEMENT has begun the writing for the 8th and final song that will be featured on a new album, which we hope to see released in 2010. This will be IMPALEMENT's first studio album since 2004's, "This is the Beginning of the End" The only information that can be givin at this time, is that the album will also feature the tracks "Battle Cry" and "The Central Tendency" from the 2009 demo, which you can hear on the myspace now. The songs will be touched up to fit the album, of course, and IMPALEMENT promises production on this album to be stellar.
A couple of months ago, IMPALEMENT said that we were going to be updating our myspace. With recent developments as they have been, such as losing our bassist, that was slowed down. We are in touch with a company that is going to be updating our myspace very soon. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks. The graphics have been done for some time now, and the myspace is going to look very nice.
