We have a big year ahead of us. We have to work hard to build this organization and to grow our membership. I know "membership" is that awful word that we don't want to talk about. But we have to talk about it. We have to worry about it. Because we don't want to continue to lose members. We cannot afford to lose members. We must GROW or we will DIE. I know that it isn't easy. But we must be tenacious. We must work hard to grow our chapters. William Feather said, "Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go." We must hang on. We must be strong and continue to build this organization. I want to challenge you to do one thing for me. I want you to tell 10 people a week about the organization. I'm not asking you to invite them out. I am not telling you to drag them to a meeting or project. I just want you to share one of your Jaycee moments with 10 people. Tell them how you got involved, why you got involved, that time you saw the smile on a child's face when you helped out them and their family, that time you saw that look of horror on an adult's face when you scared the heck out of them during your haunted house. I want you to tell 10 people about that. Then I want you to tell me how many of them asked questions, asked when you have something coming up, what do you do at those member socials you have, how can they get involved. We cannot be the best kept secret anymore. We need to be the most talked about, highly recommended young person's organization. I challenge each and everyone of you to make that happen. It is our opportunity to make this organization the best it can be. Take the challenge. Tell everyone about it!!!!!!
