Current mood:  sick

if you are reading this, this blog is not complete, i have to figure out how to put videos here. myspace is sucking.

Friday:
Welcome to Coachella!

First to the Gobi tent for Comedians of Comedy

Zach Galifianakis

Brian Posehn

Then of to the Coachella Stage for Silversun Pickups

Back to The Gobi for Amy Winehouse. No pics it was way too crowded and hot to even try to get my camera out. But she did sound amazing.

And back to Coachella Stage for the end of Arctic Monkeys and we ran into the "Megamites."

And then to The Mojave Tent for Rufus Wainwright:

Then next door at The sahara Tent we checked out Felix Da Housecat. After that we went over to the Cyclecide and I rode this crazy contraption:

Next we checked out Interpol and Bjork and finished the night off with DJ Shadow.

Saturday:
The Fratellis in the Mojave

Then I went picture crazy at Jack's Mannequin on the Outdoor Stage

And back to the tiny Gobi to see The Nightwatchman a.k.a. Tom Morello's solo project

He brought out Perry Farrell and The Coup to sing "This Land is Our Land."

Then off to see The Decemberists but we got distracted and watched these guys dance around in the water:

We found our way back to the Outdoor Stage to catch Ghostface Killah

Then across the way to Coachella Stage for The Arcade Fire, who sounded fantastic. And then of course Red Hot Chili Peppers.

During Tiesto we checked out these cool lightning generators.

Finally, Sunday.
We got there early and staked out our spot at the Coachella Stage.
Mika was up first, and he was so much fun.

Lupe Fiasco was next and he kick pushed his way into my heart

The Feeling was up next and they were great too, I thought I had heat stroke so I didn't try to get up front for pics. But check them out, they did an awesome cover of "Video Killed the Radio Star."
Explosions in the Sky came out and blew minds. These guys are talented. Wow.
The Roots took the stage next

Willie Nelson was up net and that old dude is cool. Johnny Knoxville was off to the side, awesome.

I felt bad for Crowded House, the Rage fans were so childish during their set, but they still sounded great.

Manu Chao, who I never heard of before was really amazing. So much fun, I only wish i understood Spanish.

So after staying up front all day, as soon as RATM came on we immediately got pummeled. We went over the barricades where people were just begging to be lifted out of the crowd, security was limited so we did what we could to help everyone and got out as quick as possible trying not to get injured. Thank you to the dude who helped us out and was helping all the girls.

The long weekend was over and I was sad. But I will be back next year.
