Who Gives Kudos:

Monday, September 17, 2007
She hugged me quickly strutting off stage and onto a waiting boat right by the Opera House. There was a man running the boat and then another man made his way from out of the hull. Clyde had binoculars, which got thrown my way after a tinkle of laughter. You know, Clyde is actually laughing…my, my what a few weeks can do. I peered through and I did not recognize either face.
"Clyde, have you seen these guys before?"
"Um, him oh yes. The one coming up from the hull, the one in black handing Pip the cocktail…He was at the Sydney show in the balcony, I spotted him."
"How'd you do that? I didn't spot him."
"Well, no offense Santa but I was observing the audience while you were checking out the possibilities."
"Yes, well then why wouldn't I have seen him? He's attractive enough."
"Because, and Pip has confirmed this, when these guys want to meld into their surroundings they switch off."
"Switch off what? The Call of the Wild Thingy button?"
"Well, more like the Notice Me button. But you see I knew that Pip was meeting someone after her show so I was scanning the room looking for a specific type. Energetically, that is."
I couldn't resist, "So then when are you going to energetically scan the continent for your Buddy right here?"
"That is completely unnecessary Santa and you know it."
"Okay, all right. Yes I know. But I'm almost curious now on who you would come up with."
She turned all irises on me and I swear Clyde has irises nestled in her hair, always gazing at a 350-degree angle, from all sides at all time.
She lit up, "Is that a challenge?"

I love the idea of irises nestled in my hair. It's both floral and spooky.
I'm not sure who will be in Philly. I have my suspicions. But I'm sure you girls will be lurking around somewhere. ;) I'll watch for hotties for you.

Hi Santa, saw you perform in Melbourne, one word HOT. Was actually lucky Hubby and I decided to give his ticket to the first show to my cousin, who had hinted to her boyfriend who she is planning to spend the rest of her life with (building a house finances tight) but well what can I say MEN. He even makes her listen to Tori's music on her ipod because he doesnt like it < 0 Soooo not good. Gunna have to have a stern talking to him no one
* [ messes with my girl.
< 0
All worked out in the end and she would also like to say thx to you and Tori we both had the best time. AWSOME SHOW.
I got her program sighned for her the next day at the meet and greet, Danielle says Thankyou so so much Tori.
When I gave it to her she had a little cry and we shared a hug and she said I will cherish this forever.
Also a quick thankyou to Tori for taking the time for both Melbourne dates.
I am positive I can say on behalf of all there, Thankyou for your time we will keep it in our hearts and cherish it forever. The fact that you don't have to do it but you do and not one person misses out is heartfelt. You must have been exausted. So THANK YOU THANK YOU
THANKYOU :-)
After meeting Tori in Melbourne My eldest daughter who is all of 9 has been in absolute awe with her. I have been listening to the music for over 10 years now so they have been exposed to the greatness from my womb, but We never push anything on them.
Laura has always been very musical minded from a young age seeing her first concert whrn she was only 4. We encourage it, but still cautious they don't go in a bad direction. So you could imagine my heart when she took my c.d's and has been playing them constantly and sat in front of the t.v when Tori was on sunrise waiting very excited and just yelled out mummy mummy shes on.
Well it was at that point I thought beg and borrow I have to take her to see her perform live
So see you in Adelaide. She loves all the girls but her fav is Clyde, (they are very much alike. So we are all set with Pics and letter to Give to Tori at the meet and greet.
Thanks Santa, Tori, Clyde, Isabel & Pip
Let Clyde know Hubby is a photographer (We gave Tori an album of Pics in Melb)
If Clyde or the any of the others would like to see more of his work here are some links He can't come to Adelaide :-(

Did she mean 360 degrees, or did she purposely subtract 10 degrees to account for Clyde's head not being able to swivel around completely a la The Exorcist?

Santa, I'm posting this again as I think the russian intercepted my initial message:

Santa, this city is painted in you. The splash of red in your heels, those eyes - or am I confusing you with Clyde? She won't mind. It must have been hard for the Russian to watch you walk out that door. But there are ways to get a woman back...Perhaps mr i-spy needs time to reflect on methods-of-going-about-getting-the-girl. I can't help but help.

method number 1: poetry.

Here are some words from Michael Ondaatje. Just for you, just because everything is turning red and blue and yellow:

If I were a cinnamon peeler
I would ride your bed
and leave the yellow bark dust
on your pillow.

Your breasts and shoulders would reek
you could never walk through markets
without the profession of my fingers
floating over you. The blind would
stumble certain of whom they approached
though you might bathe
under rain gutters, monsoon.

Here on the upper thigh
at this smooth pasture
neighbour to your hair
or the crease
that cuts your back. This ankle.
You will be known among strangers
as the cinnamon peeler's wife.

I could hardly glance at you
before marriage
never touch you
-your keen nosed mother, your rough brothers.
I buried my hands
in saffron, disguised them
over smoking tar,
helped the honey gatherers...

When we swam once
I touched you in water
and our bodies remained free,
and you could hold me and be blind of smell.
You climbed the bank and said

this is how you touch other women
the grass cutter's wife, the lime burner's daughter.
And you searched your arms
for the missing perfume
and knew
what good is it
to be the lime burner's daughter
left with no trace
as if spoken to in the act of love
as if wounded without the pleasure of a scar.

You touched
your belly to my hands
in the dry air and said
I am the cinnamon
peeler's wife. Smell me.

Santa, you are one delicious creature. Tell Clyde I love her too- you're my fave dolls & i very much identify with Clyde. Tori, thanks for bringing these two girls out to Melbourne. On Tuesday night after the show if you remember a crazy little blonde chick running alongside your car blowing kisses & waving frantically as you drove away, that was me. I must've looked like an idiot racing next to the car, but missed the M&G & waited in vain hoping to meet you! Tou are so loved here so please come back to Australia next time. Maybe then i can finally meet u (missed out in 2005 at JB hifi signing aswell- they shut the barrier to the line just before my turn!!) Victory really is an elusive whore...
