Brief history
Formed in Aug.2005, 3 Nakasone era born kids teamed up under the influence of Reagun era HC.The line-up at very early days of this young monsters were:Paddi(Vo/Ba),Gumby(Gu),Maketo(Dr).Surprisingly,They only played local band or cover band before.In addition to that,Maketo never played drums before.
After 6 months rehearsal, They did their debut show on Feb 2006.A month later,they finally recorded their 1st demo.The initial was sold out immediatelly and sold 500 copies totally in Osaka, which is capitol of crusty punk and fast thrash.This was a truly rare case in Osaka.Cos' 99% of HC kids in Osaka never give chance to those style hardcore bands like them usually. On July,they recorded their 2nd demo in very short interval from their debut demo.Cos' main song writer,Paddi is very productive song writer and he knows how to compose to the point hardcore tunes very well.The demo was sold 750 copies in whole record store and distributor in Japan,Zoliue,the C.E.O of COCK SUCK Records/drummer of NOW OR NEVER got this demo and he was so blown away.He offered them if they'dlike to work with COCK SUCK ecords.Thanks to his help,they could have a chance to appeal more wide range of audience than before.
Despite their agressive,wild,crazy performance at the stage,their polite,honest,sincere attitude at off stage also got support from non hardcore
audience.(As I said,Osaka is capitol of hardcore PUNK,most of hardcore kids think it cool to act rude. )They've been looking for bass player since their forming.Paddi had frustration to perform at live show by three piece.They finally got Yasuo,it was Nov.2006.
On Dec.2006,crossover thrash band called Esperanza viva asked them to be part in their produced comp called Rice or bread CD.This hand made sleeve comp solds 1000 copies and good chance to SLAP THE CULTURE to spread their name.
But unfortunatelly,Make had to move Tokyo for his job on Feb.2007.As everyone expected,Zoriue replaced and they managed to solved hardest problem to continue bands(Finding good drummer).
In 2007,They worked really hard and had many shows.During tight schedule,They recorded 13 songs of raw,fast and uncompromised hardcore,
The session you can hear on this same tittle CD called "SLAP THE CULTURE".Also,Another Maketo era recordings will be out from CHOKING HAZARD Recs from Canada.

Slap the Culture - Demo (Self Released)
Fast and furious 80's USHC from Osaka, Japan that for a demo sounds fucking tight. While Osaka is not that famous for this style of punk Slap the Culture and Gordon Ivy and the Jaybirds seem to be representing a bit of a re-birth for all that is Negative Approach, Void and I don't know YDI? The song 'Society Line' sounds like complete Minor Threat but the energy and singing/screaming is right on. Six songs plus a live track. I've yet to see them live but I'm looking forward to it.

This cd rips through each song. Most songs barely clock in at 60 seconds, so you can imagine the intensity of it all.
Short, fast and louder, of course. You should probably look into their myspace site. You could be real into this.
