First of all, hello and thank you to all our new buddies. Thanks for being our buddies. Buddies. We totally appreciate it. Totally.
Alright, our debut album has been out for almost two months now, and we're already looking towards the next. As noted previously, SBD was completely written and recorded in a 24-hour period, and we think that may have had a slight effect on the quality. So we're not going to do that again.
Additionally, we're going to be trying to stick to songs like "The Blind" and "The Invasion" and far away from songs like "The Distance." (If do you want to hear songs like that, however, you should check out
Pi, No Forks.) We currently have four (4) songs which have been bouncing around for quite a while that we think we can turn into Black Orange songs. In fact, we've just recorded the first guitar parts for one of them.
So, we're hoping to get something done before the holidays. Because nothing will be done during the holidays. That's why they are the holidays. Speaking of which, Hanukkah starts in a couple of days (Happy Hanukkah), so I guess things are coming up quick. Yikes.
You may or may not have noticed these ads around for a website called Zazzle where bands can make and sell merchandise...well, I was bored (actually...I was avoiding real work) so I thought I'd see what it was like...
here's what happened. Nifty, huh? Would you buy one? They're kind of expensive, though. Can you believe they force you to take at least 10% profit? I was all like, "I'm not trying to make money, I just want a cool shirt!" and they were all like, "Nope! You have to take it! TAKE IT!" and I was like, "Whoa, alright, calm down dudes, fine. Whatever." And I guess having the shirt be orange costs a bit more. But doesn't it look cool? I want one. I'm going to get one just to check them out. And because it has a black orange on it.
And since I had to get a nice high-quality version of our logo for the shirt...I don't know if you can tell, but our little profile picture looks a lot nicer now. Hooray for SVG! And
Creative Commons, Inkscape and
The Gimp.
Right. So that's some updates on stuff that's going on with Black Orange. If you read all this, you are awesome and no one can take that away from you.
