Spring is on its way ... and things are hotting up at East End Film Festival, as we get in gear for our most colourful festival yet. We’ve programmed our short films and are polishing up the final touches of our packed films and events programme. We don’t want to give too much away, but if any of you were down at Columbia Road on 22nd Feb or last weekend in Victoria Park you might have spotted the making of our 3D time-lapse films commissions. The films are in production as part of 2009’s exciting 3D festival strand, where high-tech joins homegrown to demonstrate some remarkable creative applications of new technology. Shot using the time-lapse method, these five short films by award-winning artists Brian McClave and Gavin Peacock will premiere at a specially constructed outdoor installation in Spitafields market as part of EEFF 2009.
