Bastards of Melody have contributed a song to a great compilation called About A Girl on FDR Records.
FDR's "About a Girl" CD features indie, power-pop, and garage rock bands covering the greatest all-time rock n roll songs featuring a girl's name in the title and chorus. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the PA Breast Cancer Coalition. For more information, go to the About A Girl myspace site.

The Bastards recorded the early 80's MTV hit "She Sheila" originally done by The Producers for inclusion on "About A Girl". Out of all the great "girl" songs to choose from, the band chose to record "She Sheila" mainly to bring this obscure yet insanely catchy song out of the dust bin and expose it to all those people to young to remember when MTV actually showed music videos. For the rest of you who were there but don't remember the song because you who were too busy listening to your Rick Springfield records, you'll wonder how you missed it. And yes, there's a synthesizer!
Also, The Bastards are almost finished recording their 4th (as of yet untitled) album, which should be available sometime in early 2008. No synthesizers on it yet, but you never know.
