I've been getting a lot of emails lately about the DVD. People keep asking when it will be available, how can they see the film, etc. The short answer is...I don't know. To give you a quick summary, I made a film, we toured the film festival circuit, we were offered a theatrical deal, we turned the deal down, we're now off the festival circuit, talking to television and so on. Now... the problems we are dealing with are music rights. I edited the film to basically avoid any problems with anyone holding any rights to The Damnwells' music. Unfortunately, just recently, we found out there was another clause in another contract that basically said we still needed to pay someone something because someone signed on a dotted line five years ago. So basically we have a lawyer looking at everything and we'll move from there. What the lawyer tells us will determine what will happen with the film. I'm trying to keep the film the way I originally edited it. I don't want to change anything, but we'll do what we have to. Unfortunately, while this goes on, the film cannot move to DVD. There are ways around things and we have multiple options, but until then... we all have to hang in there.
