Today I polished my guitars with the same fever and passion as a man polishing his BMW. I leave the cases open and stare at them... so shiny!
So what's new in the world of Lindi-loo!? Well I just came back from a cross Canada tour with Keane and Lights. I have decided that The Rockies are some of the most stunning, picturesque scenery I have ever driven through. I got a real feel for how gargantuan a country Canada is, the longest stretch for me being 16.5 hours in a car from Thunder Bay to Toronto. Driving across the country made me feel very proud to be Canadian. I was blown away by how nice the people were in every province! I sincerely wanted to tattoo a canadian flag on my arse after this tour.. but instead.. I bought a Canadian flag sticker and put it on my guitar case!
Keane were a great band to watch every night. They are all so immensely talented and put on a real energetic engaging performance every single night... and that Tom fellow can certainly sing! They were such nice fellows, as were their entire crew. More people from planet nice! :)
I came back from tour and I played a show at the opera house opening for Kate Voegele! That was a fun show for sure! I stomped it out on stage with my lil Red Boots.. and I do believe I've inspired some young ladies to go out and get some! This is what I shall call THE RED BOOTS revolution! Join me will ya! Guys can do it too... very colorful guys!
I watched a documentary called FOOD INC upon my return. It has inspired me to be a vegetarian! I feel good about it! Seriously, If I could own a pig, a cow, and a chicken as pets I know I would love them and never wanna eat them... so seeing as I passed so many of those livestock transport trucks on the road and could barely stand to look at them I thought it was only the right thing for ME to do!
I played a backyard show last night under tents in the rain! That was crazy good times! I love little backyard shows just as much as big theatre shows! I mean that sincerely!
Got a show coming up on Friday here in Toronto! The Dustin Bentall Outfit are playing, they are pretty stellar! I saw them at The Dakota a few months back and I was mighty impressed with their awesomeness! So I am looking forward to this show!
As you have probably figured out my CD did not get released this month! :( BUMMER! It's been pushed back till the new year! These things happen, cest la vie! In the mean time I'm still gonna do lots of touring and fun things!
