So we had a launch event. Admittedly this was before we'd got the site working [possibly because of the Great Fire of Dale Street, possibly because we were unaware of how long these things take]. Although we did enjoy warming-up for Does It Offend You, Yeah? down at High Voltage. It could have been busier, perhaps. But then Sex With Robots had impressively secured Surkin, Kavinsky, Kissy Sell Out AND Herve for its Futuresonic party. And when Mat Payne (of nights like Club Indigo, Kiss My Hac and, his new 'un, Where's The Ice-Cream) joked that there was "too much on - I wish Manchester would go rubbish again, then I could just stay in and moan", it made us feel that bit more confident about creating a site that would further highlight just how many interesting things go on in this city at night.

Like the time we saw a fox. Twice.

Anyway, thanks to Rich at High Voltage for being a lovely host. And if there's ever a next time, we'll try not mistaking the pitch control for the volume.
