hello october. as i have mentioned a few times previously, album number four (it is autumn now already) has been available since the second of this month. since i haven't had any gigs since the release date, and i haven't put it up for sale on the online shop, it hasn't really been available to anyone except those i know personally. i apologise for this and i shall put it up for sale online soon, i promise. maybe even in digital format if i can work out how to sell stuff on itunes and the like.
the next gig i have scheduled is at the good ship on kilburn high road (NW6) on the twenty-eighth of november. i am looking forward to it. it'd be great to see a lot of people there because tdb london appearances are considered quite rare. in fact, there has only ever been one sighting. you should come along as i will be debuting some new songs, plus i always get nervous treading virgin territory and could use the support.
i plan to make a couple of open mic appearances around southend in the lead up to the good ship gig, and i shall be playing at the beatles convention on the twentieth of december and at belle et la beat on the twenty-seventh so there will be a few chances to see some tumbledryer action in southend before the year is out.
i've been neglecting the live performances lately but i do enjoy it once i get over the nerves so i am looking for more gigs. get in touch if you want me to play at your venue/event/club night/whatever.
finally, there is a fundraiser for the southend fringe festival at chinnerys this thursday. it is a halloween gig so naturally it will be ideal if you fancy playing dressup, and the bands playing include greenleaf56, trash monroe, the fighting cocks and surfquake (a surf instrumental band who i'm very much looking forward to seeing). half eight doors, cheaper admission if you are in fancy dress and prizes for the best costume. and it's raising money for next year's fringe festival so it is all for a good cause! hopefully see you there.
