what a night! that was one of the best bills we've been on to date. the bands varied just enough to keep it interesting while fitting together well-enough to be on the same show. the place was PACKED with great people and good vibes all night. thanks so much to all of you in the crowd and on stage.
on the bill with us were:
APPLE BETTY – a really fun, all-girl, high-energy, unabashed 3 piece of in-your-face rock.
HIGHLY PERSONAL TRASH – female fronted on the vox & keys, ripping guitar, and drums. very interesting stuff!
SARAH RABDAU AND THE S.E.A. – dramatic, powerful duo. beautiful, dynamic vox, keys & drums.
DO NOT FORSAKE ME – dark & heavy, crazy texture for a 2-piece. strong, wailing female vox. the bass sounds like it's channeling space aliens.
you'll want to check out each of those bands.
because there were 5 bands on a typical 4 band night, we each had shorter half-hour sets–which was fine by us, considering it was the absolute sweatiest stage on earth!!! after a 90 degree day and the lights culminating heat generation as the night went on... we're thankful to have not passed out.
seriously: thanks to dave virr for putting together the show, to angelle and boston emissions, rock out boston club, and boston band crush for all the crazy promoting.
happy birthday, sophia!
