One "black mold" is a fungus found in wood with dry rot. It shows up on air quality samples as "basidiospore". There are over 2000 generae of this spore. The problem is that they all produce five toxins in the process of destroying wood. One such toxin is monomethyl hydrazine. MMH is highly caustic and can cause death within hours of exposure, depending on the level of exposure. Other symptoms include things as simple as sinus problems, all the way up to seizure disorders, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, and it is a known carcinogen. Read the OSHA recommendations for minimum exposure levels. You won't want any of this stuff anywher around you. Exposure can be by any means including your skin.
