The Bresslaws are a band who play Medway Garage. They live in the land that brought the world the likes of The Prisoners and The Buff Medways and The Bresslaws continue to provide the 60's inspired Garage Punk that this area is famous for.

Their name comes as a tribute to the big man of comedy Mr Bernard Bresslaw. Three of the bands members, Andy, Si and Gav met through Gav's wife Clare who discovered that there were others in the world who shared her husbands bad taste in music, his awful dress sense and a strange fascination with Italian Scooters. So these Fred Perry and Ben Sherman breasted men slipped on their desert boots and got together to bash out some tunes. So the band were at that stage a drummer, a guitarist and someone who couldn't do much musically really but could shout quite loud over the drums so he became the singer. Also on the first day Gav bullied his mate Tony to join on bass but he turned up to rehearsal with a keyboard instead and amazingly he came the following week as well. But still a bass player was needed and at the beginning of 2005 one was found and Mr Paul Fox, scooter maniac and rag and bone man, began to thump out some lines and The Bresslaws were born.

For posperity sake and to have something to show the grand children a recording studio was booked to record three tracks. At the end of the day the five had a CD with Captain Fantastic, Moonlit Night and Backfist Baby. The demo single was sent to a few small indie labels and within a week their was interst from three well known labels in the Mod and Garage world. Biff Bang Pow Records released the demo cd as a single and commisioned an album from the band.

One year later 'I Only Asked' was finished and The Bresslaws released their first album on Biff Bang Pow records.

Tony left the band during 2006 and in 2007 Rene Petrovich joined on keyboards and the band began to put their second album together.
