Hey...

On Monday November 24th...

I'm going to be hanging out in the Toronto Eaton Centre...

Busking for charity...

Its part of a great event called "Busking for Change" put on by the organization WAR CHILD.

All proceeds help War Child and Aldo’s Spring Shoes rebuild schools and provide access to education in war torn Africa.

We thought it was a better idea than dressing up as Santa and shaking bells for hours on end...

'Irritate for Change' just didn't have the same ring

I'll be at the mall’s Trinity Way at 12 noon…

And am going to be jammin', signing, and shamelessly begging for money.

Bring all your spare change...

Its such a great cause…

Plus... with the state the music industry lately... learning to busk could come in handy for us musicians

To learn more go to warchild.ca

Other acts playing are... The Trews, Eva Avila, Liam Titcomb, Shiloh, One Second Too Late... and more.

But you never know who's gonna show up...

Maybe Bono will come...

He likes Africa.

Tori ♥

sounds like fun!!! now had I not had a million tests on that day I would have come =( stupid university!! hope you have a great time adn raise a lot of money =)

Great cause! I like how you give back. :) No better way to feel good about yourself and the world than trying to make it a better place for everyone to live. Wish I could throw money in your hat, or at least in your general direction but I can't pitch from here to the corner of the room let alone over 3 provinces. But I do wish you the greatest of collections and a fun time. :)

. BUSK AWAY, Kalan... That sounds like an Awesome lineup... Do you actually get to JAM with these people?? WOW! So COOL!!! ~~Gee. I bet I could scrounge up a Violin Case FULL of change, if only I could 'get there from here' **sigh** I sure hope you start to get to do TONZ of this type of mini-concerts. Popping up Willy-Nilly can only lead to Good Things, imho. Especially if it also ultimately helps people who need help. Kudos, man! ~~HAPPY BUSKING!! :D

Hey Kalan,

What a great way to give back; so many kids in Africa have lost so much already, it's time for a change indeed !

Strange, I saw an advertisement for War Child recently and thought to myself; it would be awesome if Kalan got involved in this, such a worthy cause !

>We thought it was a better idea than dressing up as Santa and shaking bells for hours on end...

>'Irritate for Change' just didn't have the same ring

I love your play on words, smart guy ! LMAO

Wish I could be there but like always, T.O. is not around the corner for me sniff sniff * I wish it were though :P *

I hope you raise lots and lots and lots of money for this worthy cause ! As for me, I guess I'll donate here, if that's possible to do:

Have fun with Bono, if he does show up :D

Take care and have a wonderful day,

Daisy :)

I am so going to be there. I might be a little late but that depends on when my class is over. I actually go to school right in the Eaton Center so that's perfect for me. I just need to know where the heck Trinity way is in the Eaton Center.

All those who live in TO are so lucky to be able to walk or bus it there. I am sure you will get tons of spare change and you will NEVER have to busk you funny guy. Have a great day. Great news! Those of us who live in the GTA are so lucky! I certainly expect to be there-piggy bank in hand. You have picked another great cause! Do you know how long the busking will go on--what time you expect it to be over-- your part in particular, and maybe the whole event in general? I need to decide whether or not to reschedule a student I tutor later in the afternoon. It might be helpful for other people also to have some idea so they can make plans. Keep up the great work- can't wait to see you!

Did you really mean signing? Or singing? Wish I could be there, but I'm afraid it's not in the cards. Too bad 'cause I got a whole crap load of change I don't know what to do with. Don't forget to bring your monkey along with your tin can!

That's the problem with the music industry. It never checks my schedule before planning shizz. Tell you what: I'll skip work to watch you busk your heart out, and you skip a rehersal to watch reception at its finest. Deal?

I changed the 4 letter word, "W - O - R - K" into another 4 letter word, "C - O - M - P" and now I can attend what sounds like an amazing way to give / get change! I look forward to meeting you Kalan; fan for years but only saw you live once...from afar! Thanks for the alert.

Hi Kalan - wow what a great day I had today. I got to meet a lot of wonderful ladies at the Eatons Centre, got lots of great pics, and of course got to see Kalan and Chris perform up close, and all for such a worthy cause, an unexpected treat as we didnt think we would see Kalan for a while. Kalan you never cease to amaze me with your generosity of giving us so much of your time and allowing us to take numerous pics of you and with you. You are one in a million. You bring out the best in everyone and all because we love you so much. Special thanks to Lynn and Kim and the other ladies for a great day and nice lunch. Thanks Kalan for all you do for us. Much love and hugs to you
