As I sit here watching all the great scary movies on TV, I realize how much I truly love this time of year. With the seasons changing, Halloween, and even getting an extra hour of sleep on a day I know I’m going to need it since it’s right after Halloween night. Lately I’ve been extremely inspired to photograph the beautiful leaves that have been falling this year. I love the reds, oranges, and yellows that coat the streets and sidewalks. One of my favorite memories as a child was after racking all the leaves I would run as fast I can and jump straight into a huge pile of leaves. It was so much fun but rather funny because I would then have to rack all the leaves up again. I didn’t care though.

So it’s Halloween tonight and I’ve really enjoyed seeing all the interesting costumes the past few days. My friend Patrick gave him self a black eye and put on a t-shirt with the letter P on it…he was a black eyed pea. I’ve seen a few people wearing a pig nose and wings being the swine flu. Although very politically incorrect, I did laugh.

This past week has been a lot of fun. Last Saturday I saw Dave Bazan at an amazing new venue in Lincoln Park called Lincoln Hall. It’s only been open a few weeks now, and besides having amazing sound, the place is absolutely beautiful. Then Monday I walked over to Park West and got to see Ingrid Michaelson. I haven’t laughed that hard in so long. She is such an amazing singer/songwriter plus super funny! Finally on Tuesday I got tickets to go see Kelly Clarkson. To tell you the truth I was more excited to see her opener Eric Hutchinson. He has killer stage presence and not only just beautiful melodies but sick lyrics to go with it. So great!!

Well I should throw on my costume and head out. I’m a flapper this year! I love it especially since I get to wear bright red lipstick. There is just something I love about bright red lips. I’ll post some pictures soon from all the crazy extravaganzas this week here on myspace and on facebook.
