Current mood:  blessed
Hi Kids,

We're playing an important show next week ...

It's a concert called Flipside.

To be fair, in many ways, this concert will be a familiar experience for all of us ...
First, I'll spend about two hours before the show admiring myself in front of my 59", 19th Century Georgian Mahogany and parcel gilt mirror mounted with a full carved gilt wood eagle.
Second, we'll make sure Mike wears something that sufficiently exposes his tattoos.
Third, we'll paint Sean's chest.
Fourth, we'll make sure there are plenty of sandwiches backstage to properly fuel Jamie for the show.
Fifth, we'll get on stage and play our songs.
Sixth, you'll sing and dance and wonder why weren't asked to play the Halftime Show at the Super Bowl ...
Instead of that guy your dad used to listen to back when the internal combustion engine didn't seem like such a bad idea.
And seventh, after the show you'll try to go home with someone you find attractive.

But in many more important ways, this concert will be very different ...
You see, Flipside is a concert to raise funds and awareness for suicide prevention.
Actually, that's really the only more "important" way that this show is different.
And if you ask me, I'd say "yeah, this is really important."
And so I'm asking you ...
As a personal favor to me ...
To please come to this show, and support this cause.

Flipside
Featuring: Atomic Tom, The Crash Moderns and Rich Girls
Thursday, February 12th at The Canal Room
285 West Broadway (at Canal Street)
Doors Open at 7:30pm.
$10 Admission.

In addition to the aforementioned rock show component ...
Flipside will also feature a silent auction and various fundraising games including:
- Poker with Atomic Tom!
- Twister with The Crash Moderns!
- Spin The Bottle with Rich Girls!

And for those of you who've been thinking my hair looks really stupid lately ...
And were wondering if it could possibly look more stupid ...
We're auctioning the opportunity to cut my hair during our performance of "Right In Front Of Me"!

All proceeds from Flispside will go directly to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (www.afsp.org)
And Robert Gebbia, Executive Director of the AFSP will speak on the issues of suicide and depression and the work they are doing to help prevent suicide through research and education, and outreach efforts to those impacted by suicide.

Also, before I forget ...
There are two other not so important ways in which this show will be different.
First, if you haven't seen us in a bit ...
We've got a few new songs.
Second, February 12th happens to be my 21st Birthday.
So come down and tell me how good I look for my age!

We hope to see you there ...

!
