Hey Brew Crew fans,

Another season is nearly upon us and we're counting down the days here at Right Field Bleachers.

Just a reminder that our Second Annual First Pitch event is set for this Saturday at the Maritime Tavern (336 W. Wisconsin Ave., Appleton) beginning at 10 p.m. We had so much fun last year that we've invited three of the four bands back for a second go at it. Our friends Sunday Flood, The Response and The Scarlet Escape will play until we get kicked out. Plus we'll have our t-shirts on sale there for only $5 each! And anyone who buys a shirt will be automatically entered into a raffle for great prizes, including Brewer gear, Timber Rattler apparel and items autographed by friend-of-the-site/Brewer Legend Jeff Cirillo. Come out and celebrate the return of baseball with us!

The new season is also a good excuse for us to roll out a couple new t-shirt designs: "Card Killer" and "Nothing Runs Like a Deer."

The Cubs are our most hated rival, but we've got no love for the Cardinals either so the "Card Killer" design covers us for the St. Louis games.


And the "Nothing Runs Like a Deer" design is in honor of one of the most iconic Brewers of all time and one of the greatest Brew Crew games of all time.


For those not familiar with the Easter Sunday 1987 game and "Team Streak," THIS ARTICLE will give you some of the background that led to THIS SI COVER.
