A short story...

Once apon a time (about three months ago) a group of young ladies and gentlemen partook in our weekly open mic night. One in particular showed a certain knack with a tune and seemed to be keeping the crowd entertained. The night passed without further incident and we went about our business. Until this weeks ‘Later...with Jools Holland’ when our wee friends popped up again. A little more rehearsed and a little less drunk...Biffy Clyro.    Now some might say we should have recognised them but it was busy and at least we recognised the boy was talented. Even so from now on the offending staff on that night have been beaten and will now recognise anyone with a record deal.

Live music abounds all this week. Friday and Saturday night are brought to you buy Get Loose Promotions. We have our usual line up of club nights over the weekend with Riot Radio Fridays and The Rock shop Saturdays going at full pace.

Our restaurant is now taking bookings and is bustling at weekends. We only use the best in locally sourced produce. A cliché perhaps but not when you actually follow it through. Come in and taste what we mean for yourself. All dinners receive free entry to the above mentioned club nights.

This Sunday Them Beatles make a return in character, in costume and LIVE in the bar. Its free entry and no matter what your plans its the best Sunday night entertainment around.

Maggie’s Kitchen will be serving up delicious homemade food in ample portions every day from 11am until 10pm. Call on 0141 5481350, or e-mail us at info@maggiemays.co.uk to book a table. We recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
