Instead of posting a blog here, though I have at my actual blog - rubbersquare.com/rubberblog - I listed some snippets of the reviews on the actual MySpace page. So far, very, very positive all around. Pretty damn pleased with the critical response.

The DVD is shaping up quite nicely. Literally over 3 hours of extras, including 6 (!!!) commentaries on pretty much every aspect of making the film: director Michael Dunn on the film, the cast: Lou Diamond, Courtney Stavros and Walt Turner, co-writers Michael Dunn and Chris Smith, director of photography Kurt Rauf, producer Matt Wilkinson and production manager Drew Marvick and sound designer John McClain. There's also two technical featurettes on how it was shot and how it was finished in post. Then the obligatory trailers, trivia, photo gallery. Working on getting cast and crew together for interviews and also putting together a featurette on the alternate and extended endings. Hoping to get some new storyboards for that and the actors back to record the dialogue, along with an introduction by myself and Chris Smith about the evolution of the ending - which was the toughest part to nail down. Plus, the uninterrupted Channel 4 newscast with optional commentary by Mat Planet and Shannon Sarver who played the puppets.

In all, definitely worth the cost, which is looking to be $9.99 and should be available on filmbaby.com on 11-20.

If nothing else, I'll be busting a bunch of commentary cherries (as Kurt Rauf, the director of photography, said). He thought "My Name Is Bruce" would be his first, but I beat Bruce Campbell on that one. My petty victories.
