Current mood:  thankful

It has been way too long since my last blog update and so much has happened that I am not even going to try to catch it all up!  Here’s the short story – well Vivian short so I’m sure it will still be long:

Not sure where to start…

So I moved back to Portland, OR on Monday, 05/04/09.  Well actually, I started the drive up on the 4th and then spent three nights in Redding, CA waiting for my car to get fixed.  Mary hooked me up with some sweet friends who let me crash the first night and then I headed to the Holiday Inn that my sis, Sheila’s friend recommended, with not too bad of a priceline rate.  In less than two weeks here I got hired back on at the hospital system I worked at when I last was here in Portland.  It’s the same job, same dept, just at a different hospital and part time.  Which should work great as I am continuing to work for Todd part time through the fall.  Then in the fall I hope to start school at George Fox Seminar – going for the certificate program in Spiritual Formation.  I still gotta get accepted but I am hopeful and think it may be super cool!  My next step is getting an apartment and then getting back into setting up some routines for my life.  I feel incredibly blessed by all that God is doing for me and through this process!  It has still been the usual heartache for me – leaving my family and friends in CA…  and there are never enough words to express that sadness.  Also, some other serious personal sadness going on, too but lots of prayer and dear family and friends are getting me through!

I had some really great and amazing times with close friends and family before I moved up.  The prayer time with my mom and Emily’s family the day before I moved was incredible and something I will never forget.  Regular phone calls and prayer time with Sheila has been super special, too.  And just sweet times with Candice, Jen, Allie, Tory, Teresa, Dedra, Lorry, Erin, Tara, Juleigh, Sunshyne and others!  So love you all!

Since I have been back I have had special prayer times with special people, coffee moments and meetings, lunches and dinners with great people… celebrated Mother’s Day with Pam and her family and good friends...  went to Vancouver lake…  checked out a bar with Saucy that reminded us of So Cal…  watched bad TV with Chuck and Donna… worshiped at The Bridge… went to a lemon bar smack down… met with the Admissions lady at George Fox… went to the Crow Bar… Mississippi Pizza a few times… and… went to the amazing Benefit-Cial night of Art and Action for OCCV!  Super great music, art, social justice… just an overwhelmingly special night!  Check out occv.org  they do some super cool stuff but they have a scary name…  ;)

Some amazing people had birthday’s this month and I didn’t send out happy birthday’s on-line for all for all of them… Happy Birthday Ken, Deborah, Hunter, Erin and Jen!  Blessings to all of you (and anyone else I forgot)!

I gotta jet… hopefully I’ll stay active online again… we’ll see!  Love you all!
