Days of the New Presents "TreE ColOrS/ Its still Days of the New acting as a production company within itself. The name Days of the New, the Tree and the colors have been an important strong part of the history, present and future of the art. Travis Meeks (myself) is working on a silent title (Purple) the next Days of the New release/ LP ,as a continuem of the other silent titles in the past (Orange), (green) and (RED). Its still Days of the New with a twist of truth and soul never yet been exposed that held it together through thick and thin. The Tree and the Colors.Branching off into a new series much like in relation to story lines, or movies. The new series of ART MUSIC.
Days of the New fans will not be disappointed.or will they?
In the Past Travis Meeks (myself) has attempted to make solid /absolute art for music lovers/ song lovers/conceptual art lovers. Ranging from organic tones (the acoustic guitar which has been the vocal of all days of the new art) Evolving vocal tones and sound, interchanging players and musicians, strong symbolizm of the tree on all album covers and the love of art and message beings every album has had a silent title forcing you to use your eyes which through mordern religion and social ideas we have been taught weighs towards negitive. Colors, vision and trusting ones illusion Which defines a sense of soul rathar than thought. The mind is a wonderful tool but is nothing without the soul to support it.
The continuem of Days of the new art is definately a bonus to music followers and collecters. I myself put all 3 colored albums next to eachother anticipating the next. This concept has been evolving from the year '96. Future plans to continue the art is in the works.
Will post more BIO info SOON. ~ TRAVIS MEEKS

Hope all is well in your life.

Peace,

Sean

Days of the New remains for me to be one of my absolute top English speaking bands ever ^_^ I was over thinking one time and i thought if the next album is purple i wonder if the album after that will be blue =D

Alright. I seriously doubt there is much that could be done to keep me from enjoying your work. Change or no change, it will still be Travis, DOTN, the colors, and the tree. Looking forward to the new album. -JL

I can't tell you how excited I am about the Purple album. I love each and every album and I have a tattoo of the tree on my arm. Your music speaks to me and I believe that the Tree's colors will speak as loud as it did with Days of the New.

Love all the new music! Although a couple songs are hard for me to get through because they hit so close to home for me in terms of the lyrical content. They will end up my favorite songs of the new album, because of the fact that they can strike certain chords in my core. Thank you

been a huge fan of your music since the Orange album and from what you've shared through your myspace page of the new music, there's nothing to be disappointed with.

true artists don't stay with the same thing time and time again. true artist's music evolves. the old will always be good, and the new sounds fantastic.
keep it up man!

You rock, brother. The fact that you have traversed such rocky terrain, and came out a better poet and philosopher, shows your strength as a sentient being.

Travis,
I am a 38 year old guy who has been hooked on your music since the first time I heard Touch, Peel and Stand on the radio back in 1997.  I saw you first at a little club in Palo Alto, CA with Black Lab and it only increased my connection with your music.  I have been into all music since I can remember and it is evident that you have THE gift.  It sucks that the true poets and artists seem to go through such pain but hopefully you continue to use your gifts to help in your growth in life.  You are a true poet and artist and I have wanted to thank you for these gifts since the first time I saw you in concert.

Thank you!
