What did you think of Fedor vs. Brett Rogers?

Did it live up to your expectations?

What about the rest of the fightcard (Jake Shields/Jason "Mayhem" Miller, Gegard, Mousasi/Sokoudjou, Fabricio Werdum/Antonio Silva)?

How did CBS do?

Cody Hunt

I'm not the kind of guy that loves to admit when he is wrong, but I am actually glad I was wrong about the outcome of Fedor vs Rogers. Though I have to say that first round still had me a little worried because not even a minute into the fight Fedor is busted up; Then from there couldnt finish it on the ground and to survive a barage of punches while on his back. But like Arlovski, Cro Cop and Fujita he gets in trouble and for a moment looks human but always finds a way to win. And even though it was not over a top ten opponent I was impressed with this victory even more so than the Arlovski victory. I also learned a little bit about Rogers, I think he proven himself to be a legitmate fighter I think had it been anybody else....Rogers would of given them fits.

Shields vs Miller was a good fight if you are a fan of the ground game, which I am. So many switches and submission attempts and fighting for position, makes for a very interesting tactical battle. But what I didnt like about the fight was that once again because one fighter had wrestling experience and the other did not, gave the wrestler the advantage. No I dont know about all the other MMA fans, but for me I hate the fact that any wrestler will have an advantage over you reguardless of what your game is. Can you really sit here and tell me that Jake Shields would of been all over Mayhem like that had he NOT have a wrestling background? I don't think he would. People are going to laugh at me for saying this and I don't care my opinions are always kind of out there so give me a break. But that fight proved to me that Mayhem was the better striker and ju-jitsu guy but Shields was the better wrestler. I say that because Mayhem caught Shields in a rear naked choke and had he had 10 seconds more, he would of finished Shields. What was Mayhem ever caught in? Nothing. To wrap it up for me Shields better hire a great striking trainer and train constantly if he ever wants to make it in the UFC or against a guy with great takedown defense and great striking. Because Shields showed me that he would get mowed over by GSP, Koshcheck, and Alves.....period.

I know I know I type too much. Ok I will make the rest of it short n sweet promise. I am SHOCKED that Antonio Silva was defeated, I was really hopin to see him in there with Fedor but Werdum wore him down and got the decision.....very surprised at that outcome. It looks like Werdum is next for Fedor unless they can talk Overeem into fighting in the US. Gegard Mousasi didnt prove much to me, I mean we all expected this to happen. Sokoudjou starts out explosive does a great job but blows his wad and then just gives up. I would love to see Gegard go back to 185 and fight Robbie Lawler in December, because I cant think of a top Light-Heavyweight owned by Dream or Strikeforce for him to fight. As for CBS, I think for the mainstream fans the Werdum vs Silva and Shields vs Miller fight kind of killed their chances as high ratings but their saving grace was not only did Fedor win but he won in exciting fashion so, I think CBS did well.

The big loser last night wasn't Rogers but the UFC. As long as Fedor continues winning it makes the heavy weight division of the UFC look illegitimate. i have a suspicion that Dana White understand this well and it is killing him inside...

Rick MOD 1.0

it was a pretty damn good fight card. Mayhem and shield put on a BJJ clinic. There wasn't a real star on start showdown, but it still impressed me

The fight card was solid but CBS was horrible! Miller did his best against Shield's laying and praying style. And fedor proved that he is a beast! Gegard showed holes in his game, thought sokouju had a chance if he wouldn't have gassed

Brett fought much better than I thought he would.  They had a good strategy, but he should have relied more on his strengths!
