BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, to be envied) are the undefiled (the upright, truly sincere, and blameless) in the way [of the revealed will of God], who walk (order their conduct and conversation) in the law of the Lord (the whole of God's revealed will).  Psalm 119:1
The Bible contains within it God's Laws and intentions for all mankind.  In the Old Testament Moses delivered these intentions in the form of the Commandments or Laws, The Law of the Lord.  The Psalms declare that the Law of the Lord is perfect and converts or revives the soul. (Psalm 19:7)  In the New Testament Jesus comes along to perfect and complete God's Law and intentions for us, doing away with the idea that God merely wants us to have a list of rules and regulations but instead desires a relationship with us.   Although none of us can make the claim that we are blameless, for all of us have fallen short of God's plan and intentions for us (Romans 3:23)  Ahhhhh, but Thank God that His Son Jesus came to pay the price of our shortcomings and presents us with a clean slate...a new lease on life!

As perfect as the Law of the Lord is, and though it holds within it the secrets of living a blessed life, it always appears to be difficult to live by them or according to them...that is when we try to do it on our own.  Psalm 119:1 reveals that there is a connection between being Blessed and being Blameless.  Let's face it, left to our own strength, will and abilities, we would never be able to achieve the walk of the Blameless.  The key to walking Blameless is not found in empty religious practices or gaining Head Knowledge about God, but rather, in growing to be more and more like Jesus, and that can only be accomplished by seeking fellowship with Him with all of your might, mind, body and soul.  When we immerse ourselves in God's Word, and become concerned with what He thinks and How He feels, we will discover that the path to Blamelessness is laid out before us!

As Christians we are called to walk according to the Law of the Lord, the path of Blamelessness.  It is when we walk this path that we will see the Blessings of the Lord in our lives, and it is then we can effectively reach the people around us.

Let's make the decision today to set foot on the Path to Blamelessness, regardless of  yesterday and any of our past failures, let's accept the clean slate that Jesus provides for us and then let's make it our desire to spend time cultivating our Love walk with God, He longs for us to be close to Him.  Let's put off all of our feeble attempts at righteousness and Blamelessness and begin trusting in His Spirit and the Power of His Law (The Word) and begin experiencing all that He has for us.
*"Lord,   Thank You for preparing a path for us, help us to rest in you and your ability to keep us on the path.  In Jesus Name, Amen!"
