Office Project Blog:

Ok, so here's our first try at this "blog" thing.  Like we said in the about us section, we are GINORMOUS Office fans.  We tend to buy a lot of the Office stuff on the NBC and Cafepress websites and we can't get enough, we love any and everything Office related!!  As you can imagine, this can be quite expensive, as a result we have also made some stuff of our own that are Office related, here are a couple of our very own Office Projects that we'd like to share:

Office T-Shirts:

The idea came along because once every other month our college friends and us have a "Game Night," we do this so that we don't go too long before seeing everyone. This consists of us playing Cranium, Pictionary, Scattergories, Taboo and whatever other game someone brings along. We usually end up splitting up the teams, men versus women. The night usually goes as follows: We play Pictionary first. Women's team wins. Cranium comes next. Women's team wins. The guys cry their sorrows into some Coronas. Guys complain and ask for a rematch. Women win again. The night goes on like this until the guys just give up.  Being that it's usually guys against girls we decided to give our team a name, and you guessed it, it had to be Office related (keep reading to see our team name)!!

Andrea and I wanted to create a shirt that we could wear during the Game Night. We searched online and saw that Staples carried Avery T-Shirt Transfers.

We spent a week emailing each other from work with ideas of what to put on the shirts. And finally we came up with this design:

The picture came from Jenna's myspace page and we added the rest. Let me tell you, it was so much fun creating this shirt. We told our guys that we were going to have an Office marathon on a Friday night and they opted to go to the driving range. This allowed us to keep the shirts a secret from the guys. It was so funny because every time we heard a noise outside, we freaked out thinking it was the guys! We ended up creating a shirt for one of our other friends who we got hooked on The Office. Game Night came and we were sporting our t-shirts very proudly!  The iron-on transfers are pretty easy to use as long as you do it on a really flat surface and with a steady hand.  We used a TV tray and put a pillow case on top of that to do the actually ironing.  Simple to do and we had such a good time doing it!!

Office Magnets:

We had bought a couple of the magnets that were on the NBC website and one day Andrea came up with the great idea for a magnet project: to see if we could make our own!! Again we went to Staples and found another great Avery product:

We had so much fun creating these! We searched online for ideas of stuff to put on the magnets and decided to add our favorite quotes!  We made a grid in PowerPoint that equaled the size of the magnet sheet and added our favorite Office quotes.  Adding the grid helped when cutting the magnets out.  This was also a lot of fun because not only are you creating something useful but, hello, who doesn't love magnets, Office magnets at that, but you laugh non-stop at all the quotes you can use, it was great!!
