The first post on the Tactile Son blog is bring to attention a brand new album set for release in July. The Gospel Spiders is the first in a series of live albums to be recorded and improvised in both the Home studio and Outside studio settings.

With only a single microphone placed in the middle, Tactile Son, with one guitar and a drum set, improvised a non-stop piece of music based upon the film Session 9. Originally intended as an alternate soundtrack, the album took on a life of its own. It now stands as a soundtrack to an emotion, bearing the weight of its stark minimalism with the gravity of its concept.

Divided amongst four "books" are eighteen tracks that weave a musical spell in almost classical fashion.

Look for more information in the coming weeks about this album, and a planned series of live albums to be recorded during the course of the summer.
