Day off
.. ..
Friday was the first day off until our next schedule show in
....Gilroy.... the
following Wednesday 15th. It was only three of us that morning at
the grandparents, Elijah would be making his way back to his grandparents
throughout the afternoon and the Forbess brothers were in full wedding mode.
Joe and I awoke at about 1.30 pm from our previous adventure; we found Tomo
already up and about hanging out with Carmen and Elodio.
Since we had nothing planned on our schedule we decided to
give the inside of the van a good cleaning to keep us entertained throughout
the day. We took all the trash out and vacuumed the inside with the world’s
oldest vacuum cleaner.
Elijah ended up taking a bus from somewhere near ..Modesto.. to the closest Greyhound station in ....Hayward..... He really wanted
us to go pick him up there, but the drive is like 20 miles one way plus a
bridge toll and back, so we decided to find him a bus that would drop him
somewhere closer. A quick Google map search found the perfect bus at the
perfect time that would place him only 2 miles away. Tomo stayed at the Safeway
to use the internet for a little longer while we picked Elijah up; he needed
some Tomo time.
Elijah ended up spending his afternoon in some random city.
His bus was scheduled to leave much after Lauren had to head back so he decided
to check out Transformers 2 at the local theater. Transformers 2 is amazing!
Slowly the VFX team began to regroup, tomorrow the Forbess
brothers would be returning too.
That night we had dinner with Elijah’s grandparents, and
later that night Joe had the fantastic idea (again) to go get a bottle… this
time Whiskey was to be served.
We ended up staying awake for the most part of the night
watching TV gain. This time it was PBS. There was an amazing documentary on
this man who decided to go live somewhere in ....Alaska.... by himself. He built a log cabin with
French doors, swiveling windows and a fireplace, all by himself. This guy ended
up living there for 35 years! Impressive.
Anyhow… not much else happened that day, things are pretty
slow happening at the grandparents house, hopefully the next few days will be
more exciting.
