Hello my fellow myspacers. I just wanted to catch up and let you all know what I’ve been up to these past couple of weeks.
Once finals week was over with, I was able to take a breather and just enjoy the company of my family. I spent Christmas at home along with extended family and good neighborhood friends. Although I am a terrible cook, I seemed to pull off a few good recipes as there were no complaints at the dinner table Christmas night. ( Pat myself on the back)
Then the adventure began. I woke up painstakingly early one Saturday morning, showered, grabbed my coffee on the way out, and made it Ft. Lauderdale airport just in time to leisurely walk to the correct gate. I spent the next 4 days with my roommate in freezing New Jersey, and explored the busy, beautifully lit streets of New York City. Every day we took the train in NYC with the seats facing the opposite direction we were travelling, and my tummy was not very happy ..ha...We dined in authentic restaurants in Little Italy, Chinatown, caught up with each other on a walk through South Street Sea Port, and covered as much ground as we possibly could.
After saying my goodbyes to my roommate, I took an express flight from New Jersey to D.C. to spend some quality time with a good friend. We went to the Smithsonian, saw the monuments, and the White House, and had an amazing New Years Eve with good friends. At the end of my visit to D.C. my friend and I spontaneously ended up playing music all day in the instrumental section of Best Buy. What nerds?! HA!
This week I am getting organized, making music, going back and forth to work in Miami, and just enjoying the rest of my Winter Break.
Well, that’s it. I hope you all had a wonderful break. I’ll be keeping in touch.
