For those of you in London, you will notice that there is a tube strike today (and tomorrow apparently). As a result the whole city is in some state of gridlock... pedestrians pound the pavement like an army of toy soldiers. There is an energy in the air, people are on edge, grumpy, fighting for a spot on the overcrowded buses. Passive-aggressive just doesn't sum it up; the 'bad vibes' are in a league of their own. These situations bring out the ugly in people.
I guess that's why I've opted for walking, despite the fact it's been spitting rain on and off all day and despite the fact I live almost 2 hours walk from where I spend my day times... the walk spares me the aggro and that's worth it.
Walking in the rain kinda clears one's head too. If I want deep thoughts, all I need to do is go for a walk. There is a rhythm to walking that puts music in my head. So what are we fighting for?
Get your head out of that armpit on the bus and walk a little. It will take longer but you've probably canceled your plans later anyway, right?
