So, I come out of my house Friday evening to get in the van to go pick everyone up so we can head down to PA. We have a place to stay thats 10 minutes from the venue that the battle of the bands is at and it will just make things easier. So of course the battery in the van is dead.  So i gotta jump the van. Then as im driving to get CJ the power steering fluid, (which leaks) runs out. So now we gotta change that. So we pick everyone up, and drive almost two hours in to PA. We were staying in East Stroudsburg PA. 2 minutes from the house were staying at we get a fucking flat. No jack, no spare, no lug nut wrench. Nothing. So we drive 2 miles on rim and shred the tire beyond repair. Now we get the van to the security station at the gated community and they allow us to keep it in the parking lot over night. So Bryan basically sleeps the whole night and watches "Raiders Of The Lost Ark". Me CJ, and Kevin, get really drunk, hit the hot tub, and the Jameson.




5 hours later were up at 10 30am hungover as shit, and we have to fix this tire situation. So we found a tire at a junkyard for 15$. But we don't have a proper jack or the right lug nut wrench. So we go to the van with a car jack, pieces of wood and a car lug nut wrench. It isn't working out. And then out of almost no where this family pulls up, who can barely speak English. Our problem seems to be universal though, and they have a HYDRAULIC JACK!!! And the wright lug nut wrench. Talk about Karma. We jack the van up and the family waits while CJ goes to the junkyard and gets the new tire mounted to the rim. So everything gets resolved. And we manage to get a new tire for 35$ total. We make it to the battle of the bands. Play and make some new fans. Signed some cds, hung out for a couple hours and we leave. We had a show in Nyack,NY than night and had to get on the the road. So while were driving home we get a call from CJs dad, who is at the battle of the bands. He tell us..........WE WON!!! We were all really happhy about that. We beat out like 15 bands and came in first place. We won 100$ cash, and like 1000$ in prizes. So the hell that was getting to the battle of the bands, worked out. Karma is funny like that.
