I had a wonderful gig playing for Deanna Reuben's "On Life And Love" CD release last Thursday. It was at the showcase club The Jazz Base in Reading, PA. The musicians were Deanna on vocals, Marty Mellinger on keyboards, Erik Johnson on drums, Larry McKenna on sax, Steve Varner on bass and Bob Meashey on trumpet. These are certainly some of the better musicians anywhere and I was delighted to get to share the stage with them. A special guest was Ron Kalina from LA on chromatic harmonica who brought the house down. Overall, it was a night of great music in front of a full house enjoying every sound. I am proud to call myself a musician when I get to be part of such a magical evening. Looking forward to March 29 when we get to do it once more.
