Piccadilly records: Blackbelt Andersen takes time out from the internet to bring us another slice of Norweigian acid boogie, on Full Pupp. "Syrup" is a brilliant long drawn out semi ambient builder, with a huge acid line running through the middle, the track gradually builds and builds until finally dropping the kick about half way in, and breaking things down to a nice little bongo led groove. Over on side-B Prins Thomas' brings us Diskomiks, stertching out "Syrup" in a similar style to the original, but with a bit more tempo and urgency. It's a tough one to call, but the original takes it for me.

Phonica records: Killer alert from Blackbelt Andersen… this fine former techno producer and co resident at the Full Pupp nights in Oslo deliever yet another unexpected slow burner, but this time keeping it simple, building the track around a nagging acid groove. Prins Thomas adds some disco chic on the b-side.
