There are a lot of great things that have emerged from Denmark, Badun are no exception. Appearing with Cactus Island for the first time Badun continue to create a complex soundtrack and join Cactus Island on a joint venture into the alternate world of Tandoori Tentacle with a joint release both on 12" vinyl and FLAC and MP3 formats.Badun is made up of 3 band members from Denmark, each with a statement to make, each an integral part within the band. Between them they create a futuristic, complex sequence of musical events. Tandoori Tentacle is made up of four songs, each of unparalleled content and these move openly and are composed of freeform fusion-jazz influences, electronical surroundings and automated rearrangements.Comparisons to Tandoori Tentacle will surely be made with their last, self-titled album 'Badun' a highly acclaimed and respected work of art that had an immense impact on the scene when it dropped in 2007. There is a more weighted fluctuation on display here, almost Schaffel-like approaches towards the music with quivering frequencies of vibrations and micro-percussion. Baduns' surroundings are tightly wrapped - musically in the 1970's - but they also have improvisedvisualisations of what the future holds.
Tandoori Tentacle gives an expression of being in control. An evolution into the future-past of performed forward-thinking music.Oliver Duckert, Aske Krammer and Brian Møller are an undeniable trio of talent and have invented a unique sound of their own, something to be proud of in todays mixed-up worlds and confusing musical crossovers.Artwork is created by Mads Westrup, an acomplished artist and designer and Baduns' artistic associate.Tandoori Tentacle is available on 12" vinyl and FLAC/mp3 formats; Badun - Tandoori Tentacle 1.
