It may well be that Paspalum have decided to continue, with Izzy Foreal being replaced by Jess Arnott on bass. However, as this is Izzy Foreal maintaining this site, I am unable to confirm this information, because I am no longer associated with the other Paspalum members, except Pete Lawson, who often performs with me in my 'Cafe Vibes' duo project. Certainly, a lineup featuring Jess Arnott on bass performed at the Bushfire Fundraiser at Bilambil Sports Club on March 8. 2009. Whether they performed as Paspalum is unknown to me, as they appeared in the publicity under 'and others'. Wouldn't it be exciting and perhaps ironic if there ended up being two versions of Paspalum, as there was for The 69ERS way back in the 1970s, when Brian Bethell, Dave Ovenden and Peter Knox sacked Francis Butler from his own band? Or: perhaps I might actually call my version The Shards! The Adventure Machine grinds on.
