I got to record some songs with Richie Havens and David Amram. I played upright bass, Amram played pennywhistle and native flutes, Havens played guitar. They are incredible musicians and wonderful people.
Richie Havens played at the original Woodstock Festival and is known for his rendition of the song "Motherless Child (Freedom)."
David Amram composed the score to the original Manchurian Candidate and has played with Thelonius Monk among others.
