We all have demons. C'mon, don't front, I read your blogs. Every one of you struggles with either a hurt, an illness, a misconception, a regret, an addiction, and most depressing of all...a past. Ladies and gentleman did you forget that life on earth is a spiritual battle that is being fought by angels and Jesus Christ on your behalf every day?
That settled...remember the saint...YOU. If you believe in Him, He believes in you. Jesus didn't give up his life so that you would become an ain't. He didn't give up his life so that you would be chained by the regrets of yesterday and feel like an outcast or a reluctant tag-along. If you say you follow Him, let Him influence you.
The Apostle Paul reminds believers in 2 Corinthians 10:4 that human beings are capable of using "divine power to demolish strongholds." Wow, maybe Superman isn't such a fictional character after all. The books of Deuteronomy through 2 Kings are also filled with accounts of God's provision on His children. Do you remember the story of little guy named David and the big bully named Goliath? That too was a battle fought in heaven. Read 1 Samuel 17.
Okay, so why is it that we walk around with frowns and saggy shoulders every day? The victory is ours! You may be fighting a demon right now that is telling you that you have no friends. Hello...has that demon not looked at your extensive MySpace network.
The demons that haunt me often try and tell me that I can't make a difference. My demons like to tell me that I am not capable of living an abundant life. In fact, my demons often paralyze me in thought and sometimes tell me to jump off a bridge and fade into oblivion. Yup, those are the lies fed by an army of demons that have allegiance to Satan.
"I will live my life to the full!" If you believe those words, then you should stop focusing on what you can't do and haven't done and start dreaming of what you will do!
