Very eerie. Nik and I noticed, some time ago, that Chicago's Burger Kings were all turning into something called "Burger Delights." Really creepy, like, fast-food bodysnatching.

This is definitely more traumatic than coming to discover that Hardee's has an evil twin in Carl's, Jr., but it is far, far less traumatic than coming to discover that there are no Sonics within two and a half hours of Chicago. You know, just a thought, but maybe they're doing it to avoid the appearance of sexism, as if women could not possibly be the Burger sovereigns. I'm behind this, so long as Dairy Queen changes its name to Dairy Pleasures or some other silliness.

dude, actually, carl's jr. was the originaly. at least that's how it's been explained to me. i actually prefer carl's jr. because even though it's a trashy burger joint, they still bring you food to your table.

What? There aren't any Sonics around here? It's interesting that you should mention Dairy Queen and sovereignty: someone named Blake wrote to me about Houston-area Dairy Countrys. Veeeeery fascinating, all this.
