I've decided to post this blog because I get a lot of questions from girls about being an SG and how they can go about it and what to do, photographers and the like.
Here is small list of things that may help you out. Please don't send me emails unless you have serious questions or concerns.
1. Get a good photographer who knows how to use lighting well. Even if you are the most beautiful girl in the world if your photographer stinks your set will sink into the abiss of unaccepted junk.
Places to find photographers include but are not limited to: onemodelplace.com modelmayhem.com google.com Try typing in Photographer and a location you will be surprised with what you come up with. Also, and my recomendation is that you Use the Site Photographers that SG recomends! You may have to travel to get to them but they are professional and they know exactly what SG is looking for.
Note: If you go looking for a photographer in your area from the internet make sure you see their portfolio prior to giving them any kind of information about you or where you live or anything at all. Ask for their references and get phone numbers, email addresses, and websites for the references. Talk to other models who have worked with this person. NEVER GO TO A PHOTOSHOOT ALONE! under any circumstances. If they tell you that you can't bring an escort tell them you don't want to shoot. It's that simple. Never do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. Gut feeling are usually correct feelings!
2. There is no need for you to spread yourself open like a thanksgiving turkey and show the world your tonsils through your twat. In reality these sets are rarely ever chosen for set of the day. It is not a porno, it's a creative naked experience. Don't stick your fingers in your crotch and spread yourself to the world. It is tacky and unnecessary. Think less SEX and more PASSION.
3. Be careful to check yourself and your pictures before you send them in for review or posting. Make sure you carefully look over EACH picture to make sure that you are ok with the content of each one, and if you aren't don't send that picture. Accidents happen and you might end up with a shot the photographer thinks is "dandy" but you might not apreciate so much. Make sure you check over your photos!
4. Send at least 35 photos in your set. Start with fully clothed and work your way to nude. You have to get nude or the set will not be accepted. However, you do not have to show your twat to the world if you don't want to. There are very artistic ways of covering that up by crossing your legs, perfectly placed hands and feet.... it's easy to do if you want to do it. If you don't thats good too.
I do show crotch in my photos. I don't have any reservations about it. Just remember there is a way to show classy crotch and a way to be nasty about it. Have some self respect.
5. My last tip is to be yourself and have fun. Go and LOOK at the pictures that are being accepted to the website. Study and research before you just throw some pictures of yourself up on the internet. Look at what is making it to the set of the day and take your cues from that, but be origional. Don't repeat ideas and themes someone took the time to create. Come up with something new and interesting.
GOOD LUCK!
