Welcome to this weeks Not The Same Old Blues Crap/Punk Rock Blues Records mail out. This week we bring you details of The Jim Jones Revue European tour which will take them to Ireland, France, Spain and Portugal and more UK dates….

JIM JONES REVUE EUROPEAN TOUR MAY 2009

The Jim Jones Revue embark on a 14 date European tour kicking off at The Kilkenny Rhythm & Roots Festival in Ireland tomorrow. The Kilkenny Festival has been described as Irelands SXSW if SXSW was fuelled on Guinness!! The JJR then roll into France for a couple of dates in Renne and Perigueux before making their Spanish debut at Balcon De La Lola in Bilbao on May 7. The ‘Revue play another 6 dates in Spain and head into  Porto in Portugal for a show at Porto Rio on 9 May  before heading back to France and playing Dijon on the 18 and concluding the tour at The Cosmic Trip Festival in Bourges on Saturday 23 May.

In addition to the launch party for the new Jim Jones Revue single Princess & The Frog at The 100 Club on June 4, the JJR will also playing The Farm House in Canterbury on Friday June 5 and Maximum Rock’’n’Roll at The Komedia in Brighton on Saturday June 6.

WE NEED A WORK SPACE IN EAST LONDON

We need to set up a rehearsal space and office in East London. Ideally we’re looking for a couple of rooms in Hackney or Shoreditch/Brick Lane close to a tube/rail station that can be used for band rehearsals and storage.
