Who Gives Kudos:

Monday, October 15, 2007
well it's almost 5am and sascha is making a fuss, so i'm getting up. i'm feeling particularly introspective this morning, so here's what's swirling around my head...

i'm trying to figure out what comes next. i never really set out on this whole musical journey with a clear set of plans except to write songs that i love. i've been doing a lot of that over the past months, and i feel like i've written some of my best stuff lately. but with the new baby and all, i had to sell off my recording gear, so i don't have a way to record my new stuff.

side note: if any of you know of a studio who'd be willing to hook me up (like for free) let me know cause i'm dying to get these new tunes out.

now that my son is here, i'm not sure i want to spend the next few years on the road. in fact, i'm pretty sure i don't want that life right now. this is sorta what killed the discussions i was in with the last label, but i'm not going to change my priorities because someone dangles a record deal in front of me. i am who i am and that's okay.

i guess i'm not coming to any solid conclusions right now, but it's good therapy for me to stir this around for a while. i wish i could talk more about "making it big" cause more of this would make sense to you (at least those of you who aren't from canada and haven't already seen the show).

by the way--do you guys like the new profile makeover? i thought it looked pretty dope when it came out. hope you agree 8~)

anyway, thx for all the support--you guys make it all worthwhile!

The new profile is great Chris - very professional. Finally saw the pictures of Sascha (and Dana). Both absolutely beautiful.

Good luck figuring out which path to take into the future. If the passion is there for the music, you'll find a way that makes sense. Coupled with a strong work ethic, the dream won't die, and the star will keep rising.

I feel bad that you don't have the means to record your new stuff. I'd love to hear something new from you. Wish I knew someone with a studio that could help you out. Just my opinion, but you have an amazing talent that needs to be heard!

I understand you not wanting to be on the road all the time. I have no doubt that your music will be out there for the masses, but it will be on your terms. Stick to your guns, and don't change those priorities. When the time and the deal is right it will happen without you having to compromise, and spend tons of time away from your family.

I admire you for keeping TRUE to yourself! Too many people change themselves to make it in the business, and when that happens, their life as they knew it and cherished it, gets thrown away like a dirty paper towel.

Like I said, I respect and admire you!
