Blame Game" always pushes efforts away from solving many devastating environmental problems. Being that cigarette litter is the most uneducated, most collected litter in the world,
RSA has vowed to educate and facilitate the proper disposal and UPCYCLE of this waste and turn it into a resource to solve this problem with the problem.
It usually ends smokers against the non-smokers, RSA is trying to close that gap, by joining environmentally responsible smokers and non, to finally make a sensible and sustainable nonprofit business to finally eradicate the destruction of irresponsible smoking.
Is eco-friendly smokers an Oxymoron? Personally I smoke, which is the reason i have come up with this. It is a really nasty habit, that with the freedom of choice, and the addiction to nicotine, there will always be producers of this litter. But littering whilst smoking is NOT a freedom.
When someone litters a cigarette byproduct (Cellulose Acetate,Tobcco, and TAR), that litter is a host to those very toxins which cause the numerous problems from its use. The filter was invented to make smoking "safer", which means most of the bad stuff is left in the butt. So, secondhand smoke aside, flicking the filter, is worse than smoking itself, and to all around it.
Bio-accumulotoxins are absorbed into our bodies at very low doses, and do more damage than being staight out poisoned. Think of it like the plot of "Erin Brockovich", genetic mutations are able from the subtle introduction to lethal leeching of chemicals into the environment. In this case replace Hexavalent Chromium with TAR into the plot of the Movie.
Unfortunately there is a cigarette litter in every location on this planet!
Our Mission is to educate people of the environmental dangers and damages that this horrible habits has caused. Ignorance is the only logical excuse for the unethical treatment of our ecosystems. Using a borrowed business model from TerraCycle Inc. (check them out!), RSA has realized making waste, litter, and pollution a valuable resource in the remediation of irresponsible smoking, vital to accomplishing its goal.
Providing a very unique and noticeable ashtray for smokers at EVERY possible location, that still allows smoking, while providing educational statements that enlighten the probable litterer, in hopes to recruit another "Responsible Smokers"
