"Why Don Quixote Was a Fool"
There was a time
I would have sacrificed myself
For a love such as yours
There was a time
I would have gladly died
At the end of my own blade
There was a time
I would have battled
A legion of daemons
There was a time
I would have fought
An army of windmills
There was a time
I would have flown to the sun
Just to bring back light,
So you could chase away darkness
There was a time
I would have stood by your side
Even when I knew you were wrong
There was a time
I would have gladly died
To protect your honor
There was a time
I would have done
All of this, an more…
For a maiden's hand
And this is why,
Don Quixote and I,
Are fools.
