China's Olympic Committee invites
Canadian Giorgia Fumanti
to sing in Beijing

Montreal, August 7, 2008 – Following her triumph last April during a unique concert at Beijing's National Centre for the Performing Arts with China's greatest tenor, Yu Qiang Dai, Italian-born Canadian soprano Giorgia Fumanti has been invited to return to the 2008 Olympic Games host country for the "Youth and Passion" concert that will be held at the Xiang Yun Theatre in the Olympic Village. This spectacular concert will take place on August 12^th for the athletes and dignitaries from around the world. China's national network, CCTV, will be broadcasting the event live for millions of television viewers at 7pm. On the next evening, August 13^th, Giorgia Fumanti will perform at yet another major event, "Palace Of Honor" where the Gold Medal winners will be honored. CCTV, China's main TV channel network will be broadcasting the event live.

Giorgia Fumanti will take advantage of her upcoming trip to China to perform at a variety of events around the country, including promotion of her recent CD – DVD Special Edition release "From My Heart".

Following her trip to China, Giorgia Fumanti will travel to Italy to perform at the Abbazia di Pomposa on August 17th, an Abbey dating from the year 1001! Followed by yet another beautiful concert at the V. Obidos Opera Festival in Portugal on August 23, before returning back to America for concerts in Canada and the USA.

Without question one of our greatest ambassadors, Ms Fumanti has already been performing on the world's greatest stages for several years and is now being regularly invited to take part in some of the most prestigious musical events this planet has to offer. For instance, she toured with José Carreras in Asia and London and performed with Lang Lang at Lake Las Vegas and recently appeared at the Basilica Superiore di San Francesco di Assisi in Italy on July 11 for the "Nel Nome Del Cuore" (In the Name of the Heart) concert hosted by the renowned Italian host Carlo Conti. This major event was broadcasted live on RAIUNO and RAI International (Italy's biggest television network). On July 12, Giorgia Fumanti took part in the annual "Premio Lucchetta" award show called « "I Nostri Angeli" » (Our Angels) that was also aired on RAIUNO, in addition to many appearances in major media across Italy.
