Current mood:  excited
Walt Kowalski (Clint Eastwood) is a widower, grumpy, tough-minded, borderline-hateful, unhappy old man who can't get along with either his kids or his neighbors, a Korean War veteran whose prize possession is a 1973 Gran Torino he keeps in cherry condition. When his neighbor Tao, a young Hmong teenager, tries to steal his Gran Torino, Kowalski sets out to reform the youth. Drawn against his will into the life of Tao's family, Kowalski is soon taking steps to protect them from the gangs that foul their neighborhood. Opens soon.

We aren't getting any younger, Clint. But while I have the chance to say so, I've got to say I loved this piece of work pretty much like everything else you've acted in or directed or produced. I tried not to let you influence me much as I grew up. Lord knows, there were more than enough Dirty Harrys or High Plains Drifter wannabes to wade through, but somehow I always got something else from your stories all these years. I just wanted to thank you for talking to me in the course of walking your own path. My kids are going to see this flick and wonder, much like the Kowalski boys and maybe you'll be the reason I get remembered on Father's Day this year. I think I walked away with the best lessons in these stories and somewhere in it, I've learned to steel myself when life tossed me unpleasantness. I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate that.

Without a doubt this is my new favourite film. Clint as always delivers an outstanding performance. This film really looks into how things really are today and Clint certainly wasn't afraid to expose the audience to some real life controversy that I believe we are all too often shielded from. Bravo Clint, this film was excellent.

It's UNBELIEVEABLE, but no real surprise that liberal Hollywood snubbed this AWESOME film!

With Oscar Award nominations comes extra publicity and therefore more money as many equate that with "must see that movie rather than the film that wasn't nominated".

The "awards" just get me sick with their obvious bias in the industry. After all, they need to FEED those who FINANCIALLY support them.

I LOVE GRAND TORINO!

I LOVE CLINT EASTWOOD!

I would LOVE to see many of my favorite, conservative actors and directors TEAM UP and work on a film!

I would also LOVE to have some part, any part in the cast or crew of such film.

All The Very Best to Clint Eastwood.

I can't remember laughing and clapping so much throughout a film, and this wasn't even a comedy.

Clint Eastwood's acting and presence in this film mesmerized me!

AWESOME!

Best story that can ever be screened in cinema. Performance nailed it, I don't think that any other actor would have done a better job and the twist as the end of the film unexpected and very powerful.

Great story telling and best film ever made.

Just watched it and very much like what he did with this - such a capture of a very real life...my grandfather was just like Walter...originally from Detroit - worked for Ford and eventually moved to No Ca...excellent depiction of this type of character...thank goodness for 'independent film' in the non cliche aspect of this one!

I had seen the movie Gran Torino. It was everything that I had anticipated and more. The one thing that caught my eye was the Calvary that was mentioned. That was my Fathers Calvary in Vietnam. My Father was with 1/1 air mobile. The movie is awesome!!!

Okay I just wrote this and I am going to have to do it again because something happened ,and it didn't go . I have been a fan of Clint Eastwood ever since Rawhide ! He is so wonderful in everything he does !

I just watched the movie The Grand Torino ! I loved it except he died int it .I hate that .

This is what I would love to know Who is Clyde Eastwood that produced his music for the movie ! I saw that and I am trying to figure out who it is .

Is it a son of his ? Anyway please let me know . I love the guy he has been one of my idles for such a long time ,and I guess the only time I ever hear of him is when he comes out with these great movies ! A fan ,and a friend always ,scoot
